How do you receive faxes?

Once you have an email fax number you designate which email addresses you want to receive your faxes on. Depending on the service you choose you might be able to specify multiple emails. For example MyFax allows you to specify 9 email addresses to receive faxes on. This is ideal if you have more then one account, or if you want multiple people to get the faxes from that number.

How do you send Faxes without a Fax Machine?

After you have a MyFax account you will be able to send an email from the specified email you used when signing up that can be sent to any fax number around the world. It's quite easy, instead of addressing the email to someones email address you send it to faxnumber@myfax.com (see the image below for exactly what I mean).

You add any attachments you want sent along with the fax, which will be converted after being sent and then be faxed as hard copies to your recipient(s).
