MetroFax Review

Metro Fax is one of the lesser known companies on the email to fax market. How ever this doesn't mean they should be counted out. Faxes are sent and received from your current email account, and there is no required software to install. This is a great service for anyone sending a high volume of faxes each month.
  • 1000 pages sent or received each month (the best I've seen yet)
  • Cost per extra page only $0.03 per page (cheapest I've seen)
  • Storage of fax files
  • Local and Toll-free numbers available
  • The choice of PDF or TIFF format for receiving faxes

Metro Fax Features

Like most of the online fax services we're reviewed Metro Fax provides simple to use faxing and receiving from one email account. This is the perfect solution for a small office or home office based business.

This is very apparent based on the volume of pages they allow you to send each month (1000 pages). One thing I've never been a fan of is desktop add on applications that need to be used in order to send or receive faxes. MetroFax doesn't require any software to be installed.

When you sign up with Metro Fax service it's as easy as saying whether you want a toll-free number or local, as well as what email you want to use (see the sign up screen shot below).

Other features to note are the option of receiving faxes as PDF or TIFF files, online storage, and the option of having multiple lines if needed.

You can receive a test fax if you're curious of what the quality is like on their website Click here and see on the Right Hand side where it says receive TEST FAX, it's a banner you can click.

How easy is it to use Metro Fax

Metro Fax is among the easiest of any online fax provider. It's all done from a current email address so you simply attach files to your emails to be sent out to fax numbers, and you receive faxes sent to your fax number in the same email.

Simple to send simple to receive.

Metro Fax Customer Service

MetroFax offers online support via email and a contact form on their website. They also have a toll-free support phone number posted on their website. Since Metro Fax is part of a larger corporation (Metro High Speed) they reasonably deep pockets behind them to support his product.

You shouldn't experience any negatives to using Metro Faxes service, and if you do there's someone there to help you out.

Verdict on Metro Fax

The only down side I see to Metro Fax is that you can only receive faxes on one email address. This would only matter of course if you needed that feature. How ever the cost and number of pages you can send and receive makes up for this small draw back.

If you can get Metro Fax service in your area I think it's a great value for the money.
